The machine is much bigger than I thought it would be. This was a blessing in disguise because it forced me to work at it until I got it right. I emailed TI assistance weeks ago and never heard back from them. Even with this book, some of the functions did not work as predicted. I found I needed to purchase the Graphing Calculator Manual by Judith A Penna (I had already owned her Precalculus textbook)to learn how to use this machine to solve textboo k problems. So it is definitely a must have if you plan to study high school or college level math courses. My granddaughter will be taking algebra I in high school this Fall and when she spotted it on my desk she immediately knew what it was and said she may have to buy one if the school does not provide one for free. of national companies like Seagr'lms and Texas Instruments. The high tech device back them was the slide rule-which I never fully conquered. Besides the common magazines such as Ti,ne and XCII'sII'eek. When I was in college this kind of calculator was only a science fiction dream.
I purchased this because I wanted to review algebra after decades out of college. A must have if you are taking precalculus math!
