I most fondly look back on the value of persistence that is central to CAC's mission. The relationships with students and partnerships with my high school community in particular helped cultivate a sense of community mindedness in my future career decisions. "PCAC was the perfect option for me as a recent college graduate to sharpen my focus on my career goals.
the non-profit sector (College Advising Corps National Office, Philadelphia Futures). the higher education sector (working in Admissions, Financial Aid, Academic Advising, Student Affairs) Some employers include: Bennington College, Boston University, Georgetown University, Millersville University, Susquehanna University and the University of Pennsylvania. the K-12 education sector (teachers, school counselors, school administrators). Advisers have varying interests and professional goals thus leading to many different careers. The remainder of the Advisers choose to enter the workforce. Some of those degrees are in the following fields: higher education, school counseling, public policy, English, genetic counseling, law, and organizational change and leadership.Īlumni have attended various institutions including: Boston University, Brown University, Harvard University, Millersville University, Syracuse University, University of Montana, University of Michigan, Vanderbilt University, Villanova University, and West Chester University. PCAC Advisers earn various graduate degrees after their time with the Corps.
